Season 3 of Home Town Takeover focused on Sebring, bringing tons of new traffic to our area. The show’s hosts renovated local businesses, refreshed homes, and gave the area a vibrant facelift. From planting flowers and adding murals to installing new seating areas, the improvements helped revitalize the City on the Circle and showcase its unique character.

Where Is Sebring?
Sebring is located in Highlands County, Florida, and it’s conveniently situated within reach of nearly all major cities in the state, making it a great place for residents and visitors.
- From Orlando: Sebring is approximately 80 miles south of Orlando. You can reach Sebring by taking Interstate 4 (I-4) to US-27 South, which will take you into the heart of the city.
- From Tampa: Sebring is about 70 miles southeast of Tampa. You can get there a variety of ways, but it’s usually best to take I-4 to Lakeland and then cut over to US-27 using SR-60 W.
- From Miami: If you’re traveling from Miami, you’ll embark on a scenic journey of around 160 miles northwest. It’s a bit longer of a drive, but it’s worth it to explore Sebring for the day!

Historic Downtown Circle
Explore Sebring’s historic downtown circle, where you can enjoy charming shops, restaurants, and cultural events. Don’t forget to snap a photo with the iconic Circle Monument! Our favorite spot is Sugar Blossoms, a quaint little bakery with delicious cookies, bars, and treats!
Highlands Hammock State Park
This lush park offers scenic boardwalks through historic cypress swamps, hiking trails, and abundant wildlife. It’s a perfect way to experience the area’s natural side.
Lake Istokpoga
This is one of Florida’s largest freshwater lakes, perfect for boating, fishing, and birdwatching. It’s known for its excellent bass and crappie fishing. After you’re done there, head over to The Gator Shack for one of the best steaks you’ve ever tasted.
Archbold Biological Station
Explore the pristine beauty of Florida’s unique ecosystems at the Archbold Biological Station. It offers guided tours and educational programs for nature enthusiasts.
Golfing
Sebring is also home to a ton of golf courses, making it a golfer’s paradise. We recommend checking out Sebring Golf Club, or “The Muni” as it’s called by locals. The nearly hundred-year-old course offers beautiful views of wild Florida and views of Little Lake Jackson.
