2. Enjoy A Sunset Picnic by Lake Hollingsworth

It’s hard to beat the views along Lake Hollingsworth. Pack a picnic basket with your favorite foods and set out a blanket while the sun is shining. Then, enjoy a picturesque evening by Lake Hollingsworth as the sun sets over the water.

5. See A Show At Lakeland Community Theatre

Catch a show at the Lakeland Community Theatre, which offers a variety of theatrical performances throughout the year. Check out their website for a list of upcoming shows. 

6. Get In On Some First Friday Fun 

Experience the local fun in Munn Park on the first Friday of each month. Happening once each month from 6 to 9 p.m., First Friday is the perfect place to bring a date. You’ll have fun getting to know one another while looking at vendor tables and local arts and crafts.

7. Dinner at The Terrace Grille

One of our favorite dining spots in Lakeland, The Terrace Grille has all the best views of Downtown Lakeland in a quaint atmosphere. It’s a romantic setting with a delectable menu to match. While their dinner is outstanding, we always love a great brunch menu, and The Terrace Grille has it. P.S. — Their bottomless cocktails are always a win! 

8. Polk Museum of Art 

Spend an afternoon at the Polk Museum of Art, appreciating the ever-changing exhibitions and collections. Located inside Florida Southern College, this free museum is a fun place to enjoy a few hours appreciating art with your date.

9. Escape Room Challenge

Test your teamwork and problem-solving skills by booking an escape room experience at one of Lakeland’s three venues. Lakeland Escape Room and Escapology are both in the downtown, while iPanic Escape Room is inside the Lakeland Mall.

10. Lakeland Flying Tigers Game

If you and your date love sports, catch a Lakeland Flying Tigers minor league baseball game at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium. Check the schedule for a day to see Lakeland’s only minor league team in action!
